Our second episode of the Amsterdam Mamas Podcast was about the EU refugee crisis, where we featured the story of  a Syrian man who came to Amsterdam via a smuggler’s boat on the Mediterranian.

If you haven’t heard that episode, you can listen to it here.

To protect his identity at the time, we referred to our guest as Mohammed. It’s been six months since that initial interview, and we’ve checked back in with him to see how he and his family were doing. Now, he is happy to use his real name, so we’d like to reintroduce you to our guest, Nawras. He talks about the reuniting with his wife and children in Amsterdam, how they have been adjusting, and gives advice for how concerned individuals can best help the refugee community in Amsterdam.
