Recipient of an Honourable Mention in the 2016 Amsterdam Mamas Recommend Award in the category Best Class for Babies, Baby Sensory is one of our go-to destinations for safe, exploratory play for small children and babies.  But did you know that they also offer parties? Deborah Nicholls-Lee got the lowdown from some very enthusiastic mamas.

There is no shortage in Amsterdam of parents eager to tell you just how happy they were with their Baby Sensory party.

Here are three mothers with children of different ages to give you a flavour of why Baby Sensory is one of our top locations for small, active people.

Ilana Pekel

“Last week my four-year-old girl celebrated her birthday at Baby Sensory. It was lots of fun. It’s the perfect setting for any kid that loves exploring. Children can run around and do all kinds of activities on their own in a fun-filled and relaxing atmosphere.

The playroom is safe and comfortable and well-adjusted to the children’s needs. The bright primary colours, soft materials are all designed to encourage child development and early learning.

The average age was 3-4 years old but even the 1-year-old and the 8-year-old seemed to fully enjoy themselves.

Even the parents did not seem to get bored. They could play inside with their kids or enjoy a good cup of Nespresso while watching their children through the glass door.

I would highly recommend Baby Sensory for a birthday party. It is a fun, creative time with lots of action. Thank you Baby Sensory!”

“Our twins, Rose and Samuel, had their parties at Baby Sensory for their second and third birthdays. They had attended weekly sessions at Baby Sensory from the age of six months so the location was a familiar place for them, like a home-from-home. That was an important factor for us.

You can go in, do your thing, and walk away as soon as the party’s over.

Baby Sensory has an open, friendly atmosphere. It’s a great place for parents to come together; whether it’s a group of friends that know each other or people that are meeting for the first time, everybody’s hands-on, everybody participates.

The team were very helpful when organising the party details. I highlighted some of the activities that our twins would enjoy. Communication was clear. No problems, no last-minute panics.

The morning of the party, I went to the studio to dress up the room for the children’s birthday. They were really helpful about giving me access, with little restriction on times.

They are a lovely company and group of people to deal with.

It was really easy for us to go in there with our food, decorations and friends and host our party within a safe environment and they made us feel really comfortable.

It’s like a package plan. It’s all very clean and organised. You can go in, do your thing, and walk away as soon as the party’s over. You don’t need to worry about any mess within your own home.

Both parties were very gezellig –  just a lovely warm feeling and lots of fun for the children and parents. It’s a really happy place.”

“In the spring was the very first birthday party of our son Darren. After some research for an appropriate venue, I chose Baby Sensory Amsterdam. I was looking for something spacious enough to accommodate a large group of toddlers and their parents which also provided age-appropriate fun activities. Baby Sensory was an excellent choice!

Leonie was extremely helpful and accommodating with our wishes – prompt, professional and a great entertainer. She arranged a magnificent programme for the kids, featuring sports, music and fun. All of the kids played, sang, ran around and enjoyed themselves to the fullest.

Leonie was extremely helpful and accommodating with our wishes – prompt, professional and a great entertainer.

While the kids were entertained by a professional, parents had a chance to relax and enjoy some drinks and snacks.

All in all, it was a brilliant first birthday! I am very glad Baby Sensory helped us to create a great party! A big thank you!”
