Thai yoga massage is a rhythmic flow of assisted yoga stretches, acupressure and mindfulness. It is given without oil on a comfortable mat on the floor where the receiver wears loosely fitting clothes. It is a powerful technique to relieve tensions and help you feel both deeply energized and relaxed. After a short theoretical overview, the workshop will be mainly hands-on practice. You will learn a sequence & effective massage techniques that are safe and easy to reproduce at home. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to complete a full-body massage of 1 hour.
Anyone interested in learning how to give a safe and enjoyable massage to friends or family members will greatly benefit from this workshop. No prior massage or yoga experience needed. Bring someone along or team up with another workshop participant.
This session will be facilitated by Marike Sala, member of the Yoganida crew, as well as Thai Yoga Massage therapist and Instructor. When she first experienced Thai Yoga Massage 5 years ago, she knew that she had found the massage technique that she wanted to specialize into. She has since trained in the various forms and levels of this Ancient Healing Art in Amsterdam and Chiang Mai, Thailand.
