This salon for trainee hairdressers has a fantastic car-chair. Because they are students, the prices are very low, but do allow extra time. Open Monday to Saturday.

This salon specialises in afro and curly hair but cuts all hair types. The hairdressers are patient and skilled. Open Tuesday to Saturday.

Your child can choose a movie to watch while they're getting their hair cut which helps to keep them still. Glitter spray, gel and braids are free with the cut. Open Monday to Saturday.

Another nice place where you can shop for your children, grab a drink and a sandwich AND get a quality haircut for your child. Reservation is necessary. The hairdresser is very friendly and listens carefully to what you want. Open Wednesday and Saturday afternoons only.

This children’s hairdresser does great haircuts in a lovely, quirky community space. They have a café, where TV and toys are available to distract your child. You can also book parties and workshops there. Open Tuesday to Saturday.

A kindercafé and children’s gift shop that has a children's hairdresser that visits once a week. Get your child’s hair cut and then enjoy coffee and cake while they play with the toys. Haircuts available only on Saturdays.

The hairdressers are friendly and professional and quickly help your child relax. The salon itself is full of toys which creates a friendly environment and helps to occupy fidgety siblings. A sweet and a small toy or hair clip are normally offered after the cut. Open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The mamas’ favourite salon, where the service is friendly, the hairdressers are patient, and the cuts are good. Your child can get their hair cut while sitting in a model car and watching TV, leaving you free to browse the clothes and gifts in the shop. If you have siblings in tow, there is plenty to occupy them in the play corner. Open all day Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday; and afternoons only on Tuesday and Thursday.

A hairdresser just for children, located in a children's clothes shop in Amstelveen old town. All hair cuts are inclusive of hair gel, braiding and glitter spray. You can also book just braids, without a cut, if you have a special occasion. They offer a reduced rate for children aged five and under. Open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Kelly is a fellow Amsterdam Mama who is very popular with the group.

Rollende Kappers

The rollende kappers are three women who take to their motorbikes and bring the haircut to you. They cut hair in and around the central canal belt, as well as Noord, Ijburg and Zeeburgereiland. The friendly team are experienced in cutting children's hair and the service is reasonably priced.
